Microsoft Ventures Hackday

Microsoft Ventures presents an exclusive hackday; a chance for top developers to delve into the world of application development using APIs of our portfolio companies. The hackday will be held on November 9th at our Accelerator space in Bangalore, and is an event that those in the realm of software development should not miss!!

The participating portfolio companies are:

What to expect:

Get a chance to be introduced to the latest and most innovative technologies being developed by our portfolio companies. Do you want to build an analytics platform, or maybe a cross platform mobile aplication? Are you are fed up with PhoneGap's performance, or want a chance to use some exciting NLP algorithms? Or maybe you would like to be able to analyze tons of data without writing a single line of Hadoop code? Microsoft Ventures Hackday is definitely the event for you! Grab the opportunity to all this and more, in the company of all the founders - there to assist you in building your hacks and using the platforms.

And if that was not enough - with the hackday you will become some of the earliest adopters of the APIs: the very building blocks of potential multi million dollar businesses.

Finally, when it comes to prizes, Microsoft is not about to disappoint - many exciting prizes and Microsoft goodies are up for grabs, and will be given out based on how you are judged in the following criteria:

• Technology 
• Design
• Value proposition 
• Inspiration

So what will the day look like?

• 9 - 10 AM - Companies will talk and present their APIs and some of the applications/use cases that can be built on top of these. 
• 10 AM - 6 PM - Hack
• 6 PM - 7 PM - Judging
• 7 PM - Prizes will be announced and the event will come to an end.

And that's it! You will be provided will all the necessities, with unlimited soda/coffee/tea/energy drinks/pizza/sandwiches in order to keep energy and caffeine levels at a high. All you need to bring is a laptop and yourself!
