Hello Android developers!

Droidcon is visiting Pune in the form of Hacknight. Do you have a cool idea for an app? Then yes, this Hacknight is for you. Are you planning to create an Android library so that other developers can harness? Yes you are at the right place.

What apps can I build?

 You can build any Android app, but you've got only 18 hours. You can create an app to encrypt SMS, phone back up or any other productivity app.  In case you already  have an app, you can add new features, fix a few bugs and release version 2.0. 

Prizes?

• At the end of the hacknight, we will announce best hack. The team gets a free ticket to Droidcon India 2013.
• If you successfully build an app overnight,  app will be considered for  app demo. You will get a chance to show case your app in front of the Droidcon participants.

• 2.30 PM - 3:00 PM - Registration
• 3.00 PM - 3:45 PM - Introduction and team formation
• 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM - Hacking
• 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM - Coffee
• 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Hacking
• 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Dinner
• 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM - Hacking(Coffee through out the night)
• 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM - App Demos

What is a hacknight?

Hacknight is a space where you can work on your pet project, try a new idea or test the waters of new tools, technologies and languages. At hacknights, you meet new people, make friends and network. Overall, a hacknight is an amazing, hands-on learning experience.

HasGeek's hacknights provide developers the opportunity to work in an easy, relaxed, peer-to-peer format, over a period of 12-20 hours.

Next Steps

• Register for the hacknight. You will receive a confirmation from us.
• Propose a project idea, and/or join a team as soon as your participation is confirmed.
• Comment on other projects.
• Come to the hacknight with your ideas and gear!
• Write awesome code!

Requirements:

• Bring your own laptop with Android SDK or Phone gap and other libraries installed.
• In case you want a machine to work, write to kracekumar@hasgeek.com and bring the required libraries in a pen drive.
• We will be bringing test device like Phone, Tablet. You can use them to test the apps.

Food, beverages and facilities will be provided to all participants during the hacknight.
